In homecare nurses may need to treat a variety of patients in their home. Patient ages may range from infant and young mothers who are recovering from child birth to elderly who are coping with chronic illness. Patient may have serious ailments such as cancer or to be victims of a serious injury as the result of an accident. As a results, nurses must be able to cope with individual situation, administering the proper treatment and compassion
Responsibilities
Assess the patients condition and maintain the record
Monitor patient vital signs
Provides personal care for clients (ex: Hygiene, feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting, ambulation)
Administer medication (oral/SC/IV/IM) as prescribed by the patients physician
Dress or redress open wounds and assess progress of healing
Listen to the patient and respond to concern or requests
Coordinate with patient relative and other health care worker
Minimum Qualification Requirements
1. Diploma in general nursing & midwifery
2. Diploma in general nursing & pediatric nursing
3. Bachelor of science in nursing
4. Nursing license
5. Age limit is 25 to 45years
Minimum Experience
3 years
